She’s in a better place now. After everything she went through, she had no choice but to numb her feelings and escape. But now, she is slowly finding her colors and compassion back.

That day, she woke up with a sense of serenity and joy and decided to treat herself to her favorite macarons. She had no idea she’d bump into him at Pepe’s restaurant.

Right after picking up her order, as she was leaving the restaurant, two people walked up to the door. A man with long hair, robust and tall accompanied by a woman with a very slim figure and short puffy black hair, almost resembling Popeye’s wife, Olive.

His long and curly hair was covering his face, she did not really pay attention to him until she saw his hands… The freckles. As she timidly lifted up her eyes, she spotted the necklace, the one similar to hers. The one that she had thrown away 4 years ago.

She could tell by the way he stood in stupefaction, that he had recognized her too. She looked away and made a step back in an effort to let them get in. Her eyes never crossed his. She made sure of that. She left with no hesitation and without a word.

After crossing the street, she looked back and saw the girl through the restaurant’s window… and whispered, “I wish you knew there’s nothing to know about him.”

She mumbled a quick and soft “Poor thing…”, and continued walking.

Margin of freedom: Feel free to upload 1 or 2 photos. I prefer up close photos, but full body pictures are okay too. As for style, be free and pick your favorite pictures of yourself, they don’t have to be professional shots (weird and ordinary photos are welcome).

Photo Use: By submitting your photo, you’re giving me permission to use it to create artworks, which I may share publicly. I may use your pictures several times.

No Guarantee of Selection: Submitting a photo does not guarantee that I’ll draw you. I’ll choose 1 or 2 people from the pool each month, based on what fits my artistic focus.

Notification: If your photo is selected and I end up painting you, I’ll email you and share the artwork on my social media (and tag you if you’d like).

Discount for prints and the original: If your photo is selected, you’ll get a special discount on the original and on prints (of the respective artwork).

Creative Control: I may take the info you share into account, but the portrait will be a result of my artistic vision.

Photo Quality: Please upload clear, good-quality photos. Good lighting and focus make a huge difference!

Disclaimer: You understand that you will not receive a hard copy of the artwork or the original unless you purchase them. I normally charge for portraits and yours will be done for free if your photo is chosen. To thank you for your collaboration, I will give you a special discount for prints and the original artwork if you decide to purchase them.

Privacy: Your photo may be shared publicly in Art-vs-Reference posts for comparisons or studies, but your personal details will be kept private. Remember, if you decide to be tagged in posts, people will have access to your page.
